Privacy Policy

Overview
CarVerdict ("we," "us") provides informational tools to help people evaluate used vehicle listings. This Privacy Policy explains what information the app handles and how it is stored in this early version of the product.
Information you enter
When you use the "Check a Car" tool, you enter details about a vehicle listing (year, make, model, mileage, price, trouble codes, and notes). In this version of the product:
- Form data is processed entirely in your browser to generate a report.
- Saved reports are stored using your browser's local storage, on your device only — we do not currently operate a server-side database that stores your reports.
- We do not require you to create an account or provide your name, email, or payment information to use the free check.
Analytics and cookies
This version of the site does not include third-party analytics or advertising trackers. If analytics are added in the future, this policy will be updated first.
Data you save or share
If you use "Save Report," the report is written to your browser's local storage and remains on that device until you delete it or clear your browser data. If you use "Share Report," only a link and a short summary are copied — the underlying report data itself is not uploaded anywhere.
Future changes
As CarVerdict adds real VIN decoding, recall lookups, pricing, and AI-assisted analysis, some information may need to be sent to third-party services to generate a report. We will update this policy before making that change.
